• How do we work?

Most of our new clients come through word of mouth recommendations from the people we have been advising for years. We are proud to say that we do not advertise because clients feel happy to refer their friends, collegues and family to us.

However, we are aware that more and more people out there (you)! are looking for financial advice and are using the internet to find an adviser. This web site has been developed for you to get the feel of our straight forward approach and we hope you'll feel confident to get in touch with us now that you've found it!

In order to give advice a full understanding of your needs and objectives must be established. An initial discussion will highlight areas that are of concern, and that have probably prompted you to speak to someone for advice. Usually additional research needs to be conducted in order for a recommendation to be made.

An initial meeting/email or  telephone review will be arranged and those issues which are most important will be identified. This is conducted free of charge and without obligation to proceed further by either party.

• How are we paid?

Advice can be provided on an invoiced fee basis and/ or via commission paid to Barnard Lee Associates by financial institutions who may be used to provide products (where applicable).

The most appropriate and fair basis for you to proceed will be discussed with you once it has been established the type of advice/ service you need. Fees will not be charged without prior notice and agreement.

• How do we operate and who regulates us?

Like many bespoke Independant Financial Advisers, Barnard Lee Associates operate under an umbrella network.  As such, Barnard Lee Associates is an appointed representitive of Sesame Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Sesame Ltd oversee the necessary compliance and supervision requirements laid down by the governing body to regulate the Financial Services Industry (FSA).

• Barnard Lee Associates is a member of the Independant Financial Advisers Association.
• Julian Barnard is a memeber of the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII).
